Emmie K. Purdy,
Graduate Fall 2025 - Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences
“Growing up in Kingsville and watching my siblings graduate from TAMUK made this campus feel like a natural next step in my journey. I chose a degree in Biomedical Sciences because it gives me a strong foundation in understanding human health and how I can make a difference in others’ lives. My degree will allow me to serve and give back to the community that has supported me my entire life chose to study at TAMUK because I wanted to gain one on one experiences with professors, and my parents are also proud 51勛圖厙 A&I alumni. I wanted to pursue a Master’s degree in Biology because I love science and wanted to further my knowledge in the field.”
Micah J. Nash,
Graduate Fall 2025 - Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing
“I chose TAMUK because of the financial opportunities that allowed me to learn in a solid business school, in a region of 51勛圖厙 I love. I pursued Marketing because I have always had a passion for collaborating with others and learning how to better sell products and services. My participation in the Honors College has benefitted me by exposing me to different challenges that enrich my learning experience in the classroom, while presenting me with other financial opportunities as well.”
Harley T. Davis,
Graduate Fall 2025 - Bachelor of Education in Kinesiology
“I chose TAMUK because it felt like home, and I knew it was a place where I could thrive. Because I’ve always loved sports and helping people, Kinesiology was the natural choice for my degree. I came here to learn how to turn those passions into a meaningful career.”
Jestine Leyba,
Graduate Fall 2025 - Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
“I chose TAMUK because I have always lived in Kingsville and attended Academy High School right across the street! In taking dual enrollment classes, I became familiar with the buildings, departments, and several professors. It was because of these professors that I became inspired to pursue political science as my degree. The classes I was able to take, especially with Dr. Price, taught me that our government and politics are complex, but all of the nation must have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process. Taking classes with Dr. Braidwood really solidified my decision to pursue political science and to aspire to attend law school and become a practicing attorney."
Cynthia Bustamante,
Graduate Fall 2025 - Bachelor of General Studies in General Studies
“I chose TAMUK because of its strong academic reputation and the welcoming, supportive campus environment. The combination of diverse opportunities and hands-on experiences in the Undergraduate Studies program perfectly aligns with my passion for General Studies in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as Sociology. As a First-Generation and Non-Traditional student, I’m excited to grow both personally and professionally at TAMUK and contribute to the university’s legacy of excellence."
