  • Camp is August 14 - 17, 2025
  • Early move in for those living on campus will be August 14th before camp check in that afternoon.
    • Check in is at TAMUK and we take charter buses to and from Camp Zephyr. Transportation is included in the cost of camp!
  • We then depart on charter buses for Camp Zephyr in Sandia, TX on August 14th!

Javelina Camp is held off campus at Camp Zephyr in Sandia, 51勛圖厙!

Camp check in happens at TAMUK at Martin Hall. We all hop on charter buses (included in your registration fee) and drive to Camp Zephyr about an hour away. When camp is over, we hop back on the same charter buses and head back to TAMUK.

Javelina Camp registration opens May 1st! There are only 300 spots to go to Javelina Camp, so sign up fast. Registration closes when we hit capacity.

If you are 18 years of age or older, you can register yourself for Javelina Camp. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian will have to assist with registration.

Personal information, TAMUK email, K00# (make sure to include the K00!), Have medical insurance/emergency contact information.

Registration Confirmations will be emailed to the preferred email account entered on the registration form. The confirmation email will be sent from tamuk.javelinacamp@tamuk.edu via sendgrid.net. Please check your SPAM and your TAMUK student email if you don't immediately see the confirmation email.

More information for Javelina Camp will be sent out through the summer.

Once you have registered, check your email for the confirmation and download Event Pass. The camp fee will be added to your Money Connect within 7 to 10 business days.

Yes! As soon as you register for Javelina Camp, you are registered to move into the dorms early on August 14th from 9 am to 11 am. Once you're moved in, you check in at the Javelina Camp check in with your camp bags from 12 pm to 1 pm, then we're chartered to Camp Zephyr! You have 2 days before school starts to reorganize and decorate when we get back from camp.

Yes! We welcome commuter students!

Parking is free on campus during the weekend of Javelina Camp if you park behind Martin Hall.

Commuter students don't need to move into the dorms, so you come straight to camp check-in from 12 - 1 pm in Martin Hall!

The cost of Javelina Camp is $200. The registration fee includes,

  • Lodging and meals for the duration of camp
  • Javelina Camp T-Shirt and water bottle
  • Javelina Camp Backpack with giveaways inside
  • Transportation to and from Camp Zephyr

The fee is added to your tuition bill, so there are NO upfront costs for camp! If you receive financial aid and have enough, then camp could be covered by your aid!

If you have any assistance requests that need to be placed, please inform us of these needs in the question that prompts for it during the Registration process. As a part of registration, you will have the opportunity to express any assistance or dietary needs you may have. If these needs are not mentioned at the time of registration, or emailed by July 1st, Javelina Camp cannot guarantee that arrangements can be made.

It is also recommended to register with Disabilities Resources (/shw/drc/index.html) and inform them you will be attending Javelina Camp.  

If you have any special dietary needs or food restrictions this information needs to be included in the section in the registration process that asks for dietary restrictions or food allergies. Javelina Camp will provide gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options for those who indicate that need during the registration process. If these needs are not mentioned at the time of registration, or emailed by July 1st, Javelina Camp cannot guarantee that arrangements can be made. 

If you forget to include this information while registering, email tamuk.javelinacamp@tamuk.edu immediately to inform them.

Please limit your luggage to:

  • Two (2) small or medium bags OR
  • One (1) large bag

Please note that participants may have to walk with their luggage to a location where it will be loaded on the bus and walk their items to their cabin at camp. Please take this into consideration when packing for Fish Camp. A packing list is included below: Packing List Link

If your luggage is misplaced AT camp, please locate a Javelina Camp staff member who will assist you in locating it.

If you lose any items at camp you will be able to pick them up in the Javelina Student Engagement Center from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday the following two weeks after camp. If you cannot pick up lost items on these days please email tamuk.javelinacamp@tamuk.edu

After checking into Javelina Camp from 12 pm to 1 pm at Martin Hall, we will load onto charter buses and depart from the TAMUK campus between 1:15 to 1:30 pm. Transportation to and from Camp Zephyr is included in your registration!

If you take medicine that needs to be refrigerated, please indicate that in the special requests section of the registration form. There is a refrigerator at the nurse's station at camp! If you forget to indicate that on your registration form, please email us at tamuk.javelinacamp@tamuk.edu.
