Investing in You: Graduate Scholarships for Our Javelina Family

As part of our continued investment in our employees, we are offering a scholarship that will cover the tuition and fees for the first graduate course of current full-time faculty and staff and their immediate family members who start a new master’s degree this spring 2026.

  • To begin the application process, applicants will need to submit a full application through . In place of the application fee, applicants will complete our which will cover the application fee and tuition and fees of your first graduate course. If the scholarship is for an immediate family member, the employee will need to fill out the form on their behalf and indicate that it is for a family member.
  • Students may submit unofficial transcripts through our document upload portal.
  • Official transcripts will need to be provided before the end of the first semester.
  • Javelina alumni who plan to enroll full time may also be eligible to receive a $1000 Javelina Graduate Scholarship that is paid over their first two long semesters.
  • Applicants must be 51³Ô¹ÏÍø residents and must complete a to be eligible. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

  1. Do I need to complete an application through Apply51³Ô¹ÏÍø?  Yes, however, you do not need to pay an application fee.
  2. Do I need to provide copies of my transcripts from previous institutions I have attended? Yes, you will need to provide copies of your transcripts. However, to gain admission you can upload unofficial copies of your transcripts through our document upload portal.  Prior to registering for your second semester, you will need to ensure that official copies of all your previously attended institutions are sent to the Office of Admission.
  3. Do I need to submit any other documents to be considered for admission? Most programs do not require any additional documents for admission. However, if the program you are applying for does require additional documentation, like a resume, statement of purpose, or essay, we will contact you and work with you to get that submitted.
  4. How soon will I know if I am admitted to the Graduate School? We are working for a very quick turnaround because the semester is starting soon. You will hopefully know within a couple of days if all materials are received.
  5. Am I eligible for any other financial aid? You may be eligible for other financial aid or scholarships. After completing the FAFSA, you will be provided with a description of your financial aid award. You can also go to the University’s scholarship page to apply for other scholarship opportunities. In addition, if you are a graduate of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø A&M University-Kingsville, you will automatically be awarded the Javelina Graduate Scholarship for $1,000 which will be paid out over your first two long semesters ($500 each).
  6. What family members are eligible for this offer? This is only available for your immediate family members. Generally this includes your spouse and children who live with you. If you have other dependents, they may also be eligible for this award.
  7. I can’t start this spring, but will this opportunity be available in future semesters? At this time, it is only available for Spring 2026. However, we will be evaluating how this new program goes to see if we can continue to make this offer available in future semesters?
  8.  Can I or my family members use this to start an undergraduate program? No, this program is only available for students who are starting a graduate program at TAMUK.
